Goji Berry-Red Cabbage Smoothie

This smoothie is a real powerhouse!  It is rich in antioxidants, phytochemicals, protein, fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.

Ingredients

1 cup chopped red (purple) cabbage

1 cup frozen strawberries

½ cup frozen raspberries or cherries

1 banana

½ cup pomegranate juice

½ cup plant milk (I think vanilla soy milk has the best flavor for smoothies, but feel free to try almond, rice or hemp)

2 tablespoon goji berries

1 heaping tablespoon hemp seeds (substitute ground flax seeds)

1 cup ice

Directions

Place all ingredients except ice in high-powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy.  Add ice and blend until cold and frosty.  Blend in ½ cup water if you like a slightly less thick smoothie.
